Wordless Wednesday: I needed a laugh

I'm on my third no-school day.  I'm basically stuck in the house due to Hurricane Sandy.  I feel for all the people injured, with family members killed, without power, or whatnot.  It is horrible to think that not too far from me in this same borough and the borough where I work, there are people severely impacted by this storm's passage.

I got rid of my cable, so the tv I have is now useless since I can't watch any channels - oh, how HGTV marathons of House Hunters would soothe my ails (the cold/sickness Sandy brought me) right now.

What happened to the days when you could watch local tv without cable???

I needed some humor in my life.

  2. No freakin' way! Those pedals are so small. I can only imagine how bored you are. I can't believe the devastation in NY and NJ. I watch House Hunter marathons too (I really like International).

    1. Fortunately I can go outside. I have to break myself away from looking at images of the devastation in different parts of this area and the countries impacted by Sandy.

HH International is my fave, though I really wonder how rich some of the people are who can go to other countries and buy super expensive vacation homes - cash only in some cases.

  3. I'm at work, so no video watching for me. We don't own a TV either, but we still watch a LOT of TV. Hello, Hulu! :)

    1. I do need to get down with some of the online tv sites. Never needed them before, but they sure do sound good now.

  4. I'm glad you are safe! I don't have cable either, so I'm out of the HGTV loop, but oh, how I love it...;)

    1. Thanks! HGTV is so great some days - I'll catch up over Thanksgiving when I go to the parents' house.

  7. That was a pretty funny video. I wasn't expecting that. I am glad you fared well from the storm. I've had cable for YEARS. But we do have the whatever makes the local channels come in clear and we have Netflix. So if I need a fix for something to watch I can usually find something.

    1. I almost forgot about Netflix - thanks for the reminder. I need to catch back up on that and get into Hulu and the other sites.
