Start spreading the news!!

I used to love that old song about New York when I was a small child and we sang it in elementary school choir.  "Start spreading the news.  I'm leaving today... If I can make it there, I'll make it any where."

Remember back in April when I had to move from the house to my new apartment in a few weeks time?

Well, now comes another quick move.

This time from Saint Louis, Missouri to New York, New York.  (That was part of the reason for the trip a few weeks ago.)

I have to move there in the next two weeks.

Really exciting and increasingly becoming nerve racking all at the same time.  I won't go into all the details of how it came to be, but it is happening.

Now I have to figure out what I want to take with me, how to get it there, and what to do with the things I will not be taking with me.

I am continuing with my mission this year of minimizing my life and of resetting my life and working on doing things for me and for the ones I care about.

  1. Wow! I feel like this is really fast! You okay, and everything's okay? Best wishes for you in all the things you're having to do these next few weeks/months. Keep on dancing, no matter what. Everything will calm down again someday, hopefully soon. I'm very excited for you and I love that you're singing about it :)

    1. Thanks! It is indeed really fast. Everything is pretty ok - besides trying to figure out packing, shipping, and logistics of how to get my stuff there.

I will indeed keep dancing and keep on striving for the calm after the flurry of movement.

    1. Thanks!!

I'll definitely miss our impromptu conversations about life, students, and crazy teachers who leave their students with my subs and then bum cigs off students.

Best wishes in your new year and with dealing with the complaints of the few kids who will miss me.

    1. I think that when I start to think of all the little things that need to be moved, it is stressful, but I am going to get rid of a lot of the bigger things or just pack them and have them shipped.

Thanks for the well wishes, and here's to you not having to move soon so that you don't get the hebies!
